This month, the United Zanshindo Association will be hosting a special seminar in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu / submission grappling featuring Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Brown Belt Andrew Smith as he visits us in Beaufort, SC on November 25th.
When: November 25, 2006, which is a Saturday
Time: 10:30 AM until completion
Where: Beaufort Martial Arts Academy in Beaufort, SC
Cost: $40.00 for the seminar (if anyone is interested in a private lesson with Andrew Smith, the fee for these private lessons are $80.00)
Who: The speaker will be Mr. Andrew Smith, head instructor of Revolution Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Richmond, VA. Mr. Smith is a black belt in Judo and a BJJ brown belt under the system of world-class BJJ experts Rodrigo Meideros and Julio Fernandez.
Andrew Smith, a personal friend of Sensei Abe Stem, is one of the most accomplished BJJ competitors in the Southeast. Smith was ranked by MMA.tv at #1 for two years in a row from 2002-2003. In addition to being a 2x medalist in the Pan American games, he has accumulated over 250 wins and over 30 tournament championships in both Judo and BJJ competition. After training and competing all over the US and even in Brazil amongst the elite in competitions such as the renown Mundials, Andrew Smith has learned through "trials by fire" what does and does not work and is now ready to pass that knowledge on to others.
